We didn't know this fruit but it is absolutely worth buying! We like mangosteen a little bit better, but Achacha is also a real treat with its slightly sour citrus note.

Du hast recht, die Achacha hat tatsächlich einen relativ großen Kern im Verhältnis zur Fruchtgröße. Das ist bei dieser Frucht ganz normal, kann aber durchaus etwas enttäuschend sein, wenn man viel Fruchtfleisch erwartet.
Die Ähnlichkeit zur Litschi, die du beschreibst, können wir gut nachvollziehen - beide Früchte haben eine ähnliche gelartige Konsistenz und einen süß-säuerlichen Geschmack. Die Achacha ist allerdings meist etwas säuerlicher und hat oft eine leicht herbe Note, die nicht jedem zusagt.
Es ist völlig verständlich, dass sie nicht deinen Geschmack getroffen hat. Jede exotische Frucht hat ihre ganz eigenen Charakteristika und ist definitiv nicht für jeden das Richtige.
